For the best bang for the buck, the Mcree chassis all the way. Ive had mine for close to two years and have zero complaints. I also have a Manners t4 mini chassis and a Mcmillan A5 but out of all of them.. I like my Mcmillan the best.

I remember seeing a Mcree/XLR hybrid on here a few months ago, ill look for the link. Personally, I would just stick with the Mcree butt stock. I have had zero issues with mine. Ive never owned an XLR, but I do run an XLR cheek rest on my manners T4. Don't know if that counts..
Yes. The AI mag will absolutely fit. I run them in my Mcree. The only thing is the mag is a bit tight and will not drop freely when you hit the mag release. Besides that they are good to go.

You're*** Not a bad rifle for the money. Like everyone else has pointed out, the stock and trigger suck, but nothing you cant change down the road once you feel the need. I say go for it.
Ive been running a garmin etrex 30 for close to two years. Works great, decent battery life, and color screen. Only bad part is having to buy the maps by region for around 100 bucks. Still worth it in my book
