Wanting to build a .5 Moa gas gun???

I shot their precision model once at my club.a member had just bought it. I own a few ARs and this rifle was unbelievably accurate. Fit and finish aside which was outstanding. I was able to fire all the rounds inside a dime size group. This is not a plug for the company because I own no handguns...

    Tracers and steel targets?

It's all relative really to weather conditions . All bullets can ricochet when shooting steel . It's not a bad idea and it gives you a perspective on how bullets react when impacting a hard surface . Just make sure the conditions are wet when doing so.

Wise to go all out for first rifle? (FN SPR A1 vs. AI AT)

Cost of ammo shouldn't be a factor in your choice of this. Buy the rifle you want now instead of wishing you did. Ammo is something you burn through and always will. Some months you have more money for it some months you don't. You will probably get into loading your own at one point anyways...

    What are they worth?

I think it's more than fair , scope now might sell for $300 even though at the time it was a $700 to $750 scope Older discontinued glass doesn't hold it's value. Even if you have to kick it up another $75 to $100 I think it's a good offer on your part. If your aunt tells you $1500 , bring her...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite - 40mm vs 50mm

I get where you're coming from having old eyes. You already have some great responses from members that have owned or have some great mid priced scopes they use. The only thing I'll add is my eyes at 52 have gotten to the point where I will use high magnification even at a 100 yards if the...

How old when you first broke 1000 yds?

Nice shooting by that youngster and looks like a great dad but I wish he would put some eye protection on his son. I admit I have shot before on occasion without it but it was my choice.

Where to move to in America?

I certainly know what you mean about the hippies. I have vacationed there for the last 9 or so years . We rent a mountain cottage and when I'm there I hate when it's time to pack up and leave. I stay out of the downtown Ashville area unless we are going to a place to eat . I mostly just love...

First rifle for long range shooting.

I seriously don't want to talk you out of the trigger you picked and it could be the best trigger for the applications you are going to use this rifle for. The worst thing that can happen by trying it is you have a 2 round burst fire . Not a huge deal , just change it out to a heavier trigger.

First rifle for long range shooting.

That's actually the reason I wouldn't . For bolt guns it's fine but chances are better than average you will have a 2 round burst with a trigger like that on occasion. If at all possible try to dry fire a 1.5 trigger on a friends bolt rifle you might know to see what I mean. That is a real...

Where to move to in America?

Check out western NC , around Ashville area , Lake Lure , Black Mountain etc.. I love that area , 4 seasons but a very short winter , beautiful mountains , nice lakes , hiking trails that older people like me can handle easy. When I'm done in CT that will be the place I move too.

First rifle for long range shooting.

The first thing I would reconsider is the trigger you're buying. I wouldn't go under 2.5 pounds on a .308 semi

Rifle Scopes Illuminated or non illuminated

All my target scopes are illuminated , from USO's ,Vortex , Leupolds I could count on one hand how many times I really needed the illumination. If you are going to also use this for hunting I would spring for the illumination being a lot of shots are taking at sundown . Depending on the...
