Sidearms & Scatterguns Lever Action thread

Hope Im not hijacking the tread but I have a Lever question, or Marlin really. I bought a Marlin 94, 38/357 Cowboy in '95 or '96. I heard at one point marlin went to hell, maybe when Remington bought them I dont know. How does the early-mid 90s fit in the good-bad Marlin '94s?

    Where is Craig from WY?

Funny you should ask about reloading supplies. When I first started shooting high power in the mid 70s, a couple old mentors advised me, that no matter what happens, if you have primers you'd be able to shoot, I took that to heart, adding powder and have a pretty good supply of both. Here...

    Winchester M70 reloading

Most of my '06 loadings are Garand Loads I use in CMP Vintage Rifle Matches for my Garand, M1903s, and Model 1917. But my Pre 64 Really like Win 760. This is ten rounds using 55 grs 760 and Hornady IB/SSTs, (they shoot the same), Winchester Brass and Win LRPs.

Hunting & Fishing Hunting...6 Creedmoor or 6.5 Creedmoor???

I cant speak for the 6 MM Cm, but I have taken a lot of game, deer, antelope even elk with the 6.5 CM. I use the Hornady 143 ELD X, but I'm thinking of going to Sierras 130 Game Changer for deer and antelope. It shoots good in all my 6.5s (4 of them). My granddaughter killed two antelope last...

    Damn! Bought an M1A.....

Back in '74-76 I was more into revolver shooting figuring I should since I just started my career into LE. At the same time one of my cop buddies got me into skeet and trap shooting. This went on until 1977 when I injured my right hand, having a bunch of pins in it. Tried to shoot a trap gun...

    Vintage Mil Dot Master

you skipped a part. going with a 6 ft target. it would be 2 X 1000 or 2000 yards' Then look at the target and using the scale, see how many mils you get. Lets say the scale measures 4 mils. You now divide the 2000 from above by 4 which is 400. meaning your target is 400 yards away.
