My gap 300 WSM likes 60.0 grains of h4350 (2750 FPS) shooting a berger 210 gr hunting vld. Consistently shoots .5 MOA at 1K yards with a 25 inch varmint contour barrel. The rifle is better than the shooter (and the bipod on concrete.)
I though about trying to build a precision ar15 that shoots good groups at 1000 or longer with an economical ar15 cartridge (valkarie, 6mm ARC or .223). The more I looked at the build, it became obvious that I aught to focus on inside 800 yards and stick to my bolt guns and their optimized...

S&B pmii has has been a workhorse and was once considered an elite scope, but others (TT, Kahles, NF, Zco etc) surpassed them. Good scope = sure. Elite scope = nope.
As I wrote above, MH completed a 6.5x284 build for me and I was delighted with the result. What I did not write is that I provided them with a Rem 700 action (270) and asked them to blueprint it as part of the build specs. Apologies that I do not have additional info on their blueprinting...
I use Hornady and have been happy so far with the consistency of the brass. I used Norma before until they discontinued 300WSM brass. Beginning to see split case necks in the Norma brass that I still have.
Yes, lived in Denver and had them build a 6.5x284. Rifle shot 3/8MOA at 500 yards at CSC east of town. It’s been 6-7 years but was very pleased With their work and responsiveness. They are an asset to the industry. Don’t know them from Adam but would go back to build another one.
