    Advanced Marksmanship CQB forend hand

Re: CQB forend hand I have seen people use this technique before, and have used it myself but only when I'm shooting support side. I've never seen someone run it full time though.

    Ft Benning International Sniper Comp

Re: Ft Benning International Sniper Comp The comp this year was a lot better than last year. The events required a much higher level of shooter/spotter dialogue in order to be effective on the events. Hopefully next year they will bring back a little more run and gun for the stress fire...

Range Report Surgeon .308 with S&B 5-25 range report

Re: Surgeon .308 with S&B 5-25 range report Nice setup looks similar to mine, except I went with a USO SN3 instead. The glass quality on the SB is awesome though, and I would expect nothing less from a Surgeon Rifle. They are amazing rifles.

Movie Theater No Easy Day by Mark Owen

Re: No Easy Day by Mark Owen This was a good book, his version of the assault on the compound makes a lot more sense then what was being released. If you guys liked that book, pickup Fearless.

    Chassis Swap

Has anyone here taken their Surgeon Scalpel 591 SA out of it's original stock and placed it into a AI AX Chassis. My rifle has a McMillan A-5, and I want to swap it for the above system. If anyone has recently done this did you encounter any problems, or was it pretty straight forward.

Sidearms & Scatterguns U.S. Army Awards New Contract for Beretta M9

Re: U.S. Army Awards New Contract for Beretta M9 Can't stand the Beretta, it gets dirty so easy with that exposed barrel. Plus after firing 3000-5000 rounds through it the lugs start to break, locking up the slide. Then you have the trigger 13 pounds on DA, and 5-6 on SA. There are just to...

    Personal Protection Ammo Life Span?

Re: Personal Protection Ammo Life Span? Yes compression/decompression is what wears a spring out, but leaving them compressed for to long will destroy the spring as well. I have not done a test with any other mags aside from the Beretta mags that the military purchases and the USGI mags. Are...

    Fieldcraft ghillie in progress

Re: ghillie in progress Looks good, I've never seen someone use p-cord like that for a suit. I have 3 ghillie suits that I've made plus a hood I got from a competition, very tedious work all the tying and looping. If I may make a suggestion go lite on the burlap/jute, and veg heavy. Take some...

    USAF basic training?

Re: USAF basic training? Don't show him anything, he will do good if he just listens and maintains a open mind. Tell him though that once he has completed his initial training, tech school and all to seek out some more realistic and dynamic shooting schools. Unfortunately it will be on his...

How to deal with eye dominance

Re: How to deal with eye dominance Patch your right eye when your dry firing at home to get comfortable, so you build a good comfortable position. Try not to squeeze your right eye shut when dry firing because you will fatigue your eye and and shift your head on the stock. Play around with...

    Got my Noveske!

Re: Got my Noveske! Solid choice going with the Noveske, I bought one a few years ago a 14.5 Afghan stainless and it has worked flawless for me. It has 6000 rounds through it and is still a 1 MOA weapon.
