I have a factory Noveske .300 Upper. Old School Noveske. Less than 500 rounds through it. Probably closer to 200. I’ll try and send pics PM. I think it’s a 12.5”.
For sale, excellent condition US Optics Spotting scope. 15-40X 60mm. Complete with front and rear flip up lens caps. Has .mil GAP reticle for ranging. Excellent companion to any .mil reticle rifle scope. American made! $700 SHIPPED OBO
Just mounted up this ER25 w/ H102 for a friends .338 LaPua. Pretty impressed so far and plan on dialing it in in the next couple of weeks before giving it back. With the 30MOA built into the Surgeon action should be plenty of adjustment to make a mile if my math is correct. I would say...
I played with a .300WM Meredith a couple of months ago, very impressive craftsmanship. I'd put Tooter's work up there with the best of them. When I can get some scratch together I'm gonna have him build me a rifle, just not sure what yet.
So the math would be in favor of a scope that could successfully integrate a red dot into the fold. Your looking at 500-600 for a T1 pulse probably another. $500+ for the SPUHR mount complete w/ T1 interface. I've shot a similar setup on my buddy's rifle that and it's very functional, but if I...
It would be interesting to see one on a higher power scope. You may be able to shoot both eyes open and shoot the red dot at power, even if it means closing the front flip up. As Funkworks stated above, probably be a multi layered market for it if it works, comp guys, hunters, mil/LE.
You will appreciate the higher power optics outside of 500 yards. Is it necessary to have 15X or 18X to shoot 1000, no, but it just makes everything a little easier, target acquisition, hit verification, etc. You can always dial down your optic for the closer shooting. I frequently shoot my...
Wilson ETM's or Tripp Cobras. My gun won't seat the Mec-Gars but my buddies have all been running high rounds through theirs with no worries. Have seen a few issues with the Tripp 10 rounders, but isolated.
Have probably 700 rounds of .308 GMM through my OBR with no issues. Can't say the same for shooting the 7.62 out of my .308 bolt gun though. Live and learn.
Re: Range Finders under $1,000 (BUSHNELL) Leica 1600. Can't speak for the others, but use it for work and for hunting and consistently get good ranging out of it. It's under $800 pretty much everywhere. Just noticed your out to mile requirement. My buddy just picked up the Vectronix last...
Re: scope for mk12 mod1 USO SN-3 1.8-10. Gives you illumated reticle, endless options on turrets, reticles, etc, and more than worthy of sitting on top of the MK12. The 1.8 low end is nice for close options too, in comparison to a 3.5.
Re: Muzzle breaks for a .308 recommendations anyone? I have the Surefire on my LaRue OBR 18" and it does a great job and as mentioned above, doesn't blow crap all over the place. It's a very effective brake. I've shot another gun with the AAC with equally good performance. I'll be...
Re: USO Options and Opinions for bolt action .308 I would agree with the 3.2-17. I have one w/ Ergo and Erek/ #3 wind age knob on my 700 w/ MPR reticle and 30mm tube. I also have a 3.2-17 TPAL EREK w/ #3 wind age knob mounted left side for my OBR. I like the TPAL better for ease of reach...
Re: My OBR I just switched to the same rifle for my SWAT sniper primary weapon 2 months ago and love it. Let me know how you like the PRS stock. I have the 18" with the CTR/RISR stock and Surefire brake. The gun is ridiculously accurate and has eaten everything I've fed it. I'm running it...
