    LR 308 Broken Extractor

    I've had the same thing happen once, about 1500 rounds in. I just replaced it and haven't had any more issues. Check Midway product #: 467621 and have them notify you when they get stock. Much better deal for some spare parts when they have them.

    Re: OBR's fluted chamber XRETARDN... What's the point? The bolt in HK G3 style rifles does not rotate. The combination of the flutes with the delayed roller lock mechanism allows the gas from the fired cartridge to float the brass in the chamber aiding in the extraction.

    I just loaded up 67 rounds of .308 with Varget using my Charge Master. The charge weight was 45.0 grains. It took my Charge Master 118 throws to yield 67 with the correct charge weight. This works out to about 57% of the time where the weight is correct. Is this typical of what anyone else...
