    Redding bushing dies and .308

In finding that it varies a lot depending on how you measure it. I get .336 with a firm grip, how I reguraly use the caliper with comparators etc. Just barely touching the jaw points to the neck I get .338, squeezing down I can make it show down to .334.

    Redding bushing dies and .308

I'm using a frankford arsenal and have a cheaper one I just tried with. I'm also measuring 2 different batches of loaded brass bought a year apart from one another and they both measure .336-.336-5

    Redding bushing dies and .308

I am finding lots of tid bits and different info on this. I am loading 175smk in Lapua brass and want/need to upgrade dies. Rifle = GA Precision .308, 2nd snipers hide build, mine is 49/50. McMillan a5, 24" mike rock 1-11.25, rem700 bolt and reciever. I have been loading my match .308 for a...

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

All is good. I'm glad I spent a week on it. Oh, and it feels like it's bolted to the concrete, love it. The 2x4s running under the benchtop that it's bolted to, really made a difference. Old press flexed a lot.

Best place to buy a Dillon 550b?

Not anymore. You call and it's a voicemail saying "I am a one man operation and no longer accept phone calls"

Best place to buy a Dillon 550b?

I currently have a 550b + conversions ordered from Brian enos. As far as I can tell it's all the same pricing as dillon he just has an easier to figure out system to find what you'll need. If you are new to dillon I think it's easier to track everything down...The free shipping is nice but a...

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

Yeah, I have found I can't/shouldn't go any further until it gets here. Just trying to get all the boring stuff done and solid in the meantime. Cause I know once it arrived it's a bolt this down and get loading!

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

Here is where I'm at. Any suggestions before I mount it? The platform is deliberately hanging off the left side some to give me more room over there. The block the press will go on is deliberately hanging off a little. The drawer frame (removed right now) is sunk in a little and with the...

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

The strong mount would put it up too high. I would have to shorten the whole bench or reload off a stool. And shortening bench not much option. I am adding a frame underneath the mounting bolts will go through. "You shall not flex"

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

Actually. If you could tell me the distance between the front edge of your bench (where the press hangs off of) to the center of the first mounting bolt. Would be much appreciated.

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

Is there any reason to leave space on the left side of press for anything other than bullets? I want as much place to the right of it as possible. Would 6"-8" of bench space be enough? Seems like you just need a spot to pick the bullets from

I'm good on the measurements, thanks Sig Marine.

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

I stand, my bench is already about 43" high. I'm 5'10. I will have to use a 2" riser so the bottom part of the press "hinges" will clear my drawers underneath. I like the idea of strong mount but I'm afraid that would put it up too high. I'm not new to reloading, this is just first...

    Measurement question - dillon 550b

I have mine on the way (yay) and am setting up my bench for it. Can someone who has one tell me the dimensions of the mounting holes? All I need is distance from front to back and side to side from center of the presses mounting holes. Not using a strong mount. I have searched for quite a...

    Case head seperation?

Depending on how hard I tighten the caliper and exactly where I measure from it ranges from .435-.437. The die opening is .439-.440 Also, the upper only has about 500-600 through it

    Case head seperation?

I did scrape the inside with an angled pic. I know what to feel for from my previous .308 issues. Nothing on the inside can be felt.

    Case head seperation?

Like I said though, I am doing .004 and still getting some that fail to chamber/undersized.
