    Cleaning a new .22 rifle?

    The 455 has a tight bore. I use a .20 cal dewey rod and jag with a delrin bore guide. .20 and .22 nylon brushes seem to be ok. I use a bore snake after each use and clean every 300-500 rounds or when accuracy falls off...whichever comes first.

    Not ffp but I like the hawke sidewinder 30. I have one on my 455pt and its been great for what I do with the half mil reticle and a $400ish price tag.

    I'm in NY too and will be getting an aac sd in 223 for the same reasons you mention and my AR washed away in hurricane Sandy. I hate this lousy state.

    Yep, they were one of the first to gouge and turn their backs on us. I will never buy from them for any reason.
