    Gunsmithing Issue with AICS chassis to action fit

    After I put the action back in the chassis and got the action torqued down, there is still a gap but only a small one. The rear action screw now is only about 1-2 threads short. I've seen actions in factory stocks look like this, so I guess it's all good.

    Thanks All. Put the action back into the AICS and torqued both action screws to 53 inch/pounds per the instructions. No issues with trigger, safety or mag feeding. However, even though the gap is cosmetic, it still bugs me.

    Thanks for the quick replies. No. The action is not sitting on the skins. I removed the skins in order to install the action. Everthing on the chassis appears to fit well except the gap under the action tang. The magazine works well, not too tight and not too loose. If the gap is designed...
