Hello to all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I recently bought an AICS 1.5 short action stock (chassis system) so that I could drop my 1972 vintage .243 Varmint Special into a tactical type stock with magazine capabilities. This is the latest edition AISC that recently became available. The action dropped into the aluminum chassis easily. However, I noticed that I have about an 1/8" to 3/16" gap under the rear tang. I have checked that nothing in the trigger group (factory trigger) is hanging up. It appears that the tang of the action is too wide to fit between the machined "V" in the chassis and this is preventing the tang of the action from reaching the chassis. This doesn't seem right to me. Has anyone else had this issue or is this the way these are made to fit? Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
