Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
Mike Manzella spun me up a Green Mountain blank with Padoms Eachus chamber. It shoots great!!! Mike is great to work with. I've shot a pile of different ammo through it and I haven't found any that it will not shoot. The interesting thing is my SD has dropped significantly from the previous...
I've been looking at a barrel and bolt set up from Taccom. It is a system like Nordic used to sell. https://taccom3g.com/product/16-ulw-barrel-and-bolt-for-ar15-22lr/
^^^^^^^ This. Get a sharp punch or a pick and get the broken off bit out. It will take a bit of finesse to get it out. It's locked in there from twisting torque. Then after you get it out, use a soldering iron to heat the screw up before you try again.
That bolt stop is a benchrest artifact. Was very common with sleeved and glued in actions. Better pics of the barrel stamp would help id what it reads.
The trigger hanger allows you to find the sweet spot with your trigger. You can feel it by making small adjustments and working the bolt handle up and down until you get a zero handoff on the striker to the sear. It's an awesome feature. Ted's design is slick and simple.
I've owned all three (Osprey, Rock Creek cut and button) along with Hawk Hill and Spencer from PVA. All of them have been great shooters with consistent chambers and headspace. No worries.
Things I'd love for Ted and ARC to do: Finish the light weight hunting action. Design and build a Rimfire action. Update and release the M2. Design and build AW mags that hold more than 10 rounds.
I really like Accurate mags for 223. Metal body with polymer inserts. You can use a round file to lengthen the front up for longer OAL and they still feed great.
