Range Report Introducing "Shooter", ballistics for Android!

Re: Introducing "Shooter", ballistics for Android! I downloaded this for my phone and I love the program. I have compared it to my past data and numbers are dead on. The interface is great. It contains very complex and complete information in a simple easy to use format. I do have a couple of...

    Advanced Marksmanship Document holder

I found this last night and put it to use. I have been taping the documents to a log book but this is much more versatile. It has thick plastic that seals at one end with velcro. The whole thing rolls up into the cordura and then holds shut with velcro. On one side I have all my wind...

    resizing question: case head separation

I was shooting my ar-15 today and was getting signs in the brass that i was about to have a case head separation. I was using lake city brass and this was the second time I had used it. Both loads were very moderate. When I checked my die I was resizing the case as much as .015. I was able to...

    Corbon performance match ammo?

Re: Corbon performance match ammo? I shot two 5 round groups each of the Corbon and some 75grn match Hornady out of a larue stealth upper. The corbon averaged .851 and the Hornady was .803. For comparison I fired 5 round of Federal gold medal and it measured .905.

    Corbon performance match ammo?

I was looking at getting some Corbon performance match ammo for my AR. The ammo I was looking at uses Lapua brass and 77grn matchkings. It sells for $18 for 20. When I priced it out, if I buy brand new Lapua brass and load it myself I would only save 4 cents a round. For this price it seems like...

Range Report The Art Of Calling Wind.

Re: The Art Of Calling Wind. This post has been a very enlightening discussion. I am always looking to learn more about reading the wind. It always makes me laugh when someone talks about electronics failing. The truth for the great majority of people on here is that if their electronics...

    Chargemaster Dispensing Question

Re: Chargemaster Dispensing Question My chargemaster has been great. I used for 4000-5000 charges and the dispenser went out. I sent it back to RCBS and they sent me a brand new one. Mine is consistently accurate to a 1/10 of a grain when I confirm with check weights.

    Chargemaster Dispensing Question

Re: Chargemaster Dispensing Question I had the same thing happening with mine and fixed it with anti static spray. Make sure you spray the draft shield, metal pan, and plastic piece that the pan sits on.

    badger ordnance FTE break question

Re: badger ordnance FTE break question The rifle is a GA crusader. I am able to see my hits just not well enough to say the shot was 3'' inches to right or 2'' left. Instead I can only see if the shot went left or right and I make an adjustment and end up wasting ammo because I adjust too...

    badger ordnance FTE break question

I want to put the FTE break on my rifle. Does it matter which size I get? My barrel has a big enough diameter that either one that Badger offers would fit. The reason I want to get it is I typically shoot by myself and have been having trouble spotting my shots. I can see the impact of the...

Advanced Marksmanship expectations of military snipers(first round hits)

Re: expectations of military snipers(first round h The article misses two big factors. The first is follow up shots. Although their math may be technically correct for a first shot a follow up shot can eliminate many errors that occurred on the first shot. For example the barometric pressure...

Advanced Marksmanship expectations of military snipers(first round hits)

Re: expectations of military snipers(first round h kmussack that seems a little more realistic. About 50% percent hits at 500 yards for a military sniper. I would wager that most military snipers get much less practice and experience than they would like.

Advanced Marksmanship expectations of military snipers(first round hits)

Re: expectations of military snipers(first round hits) I know there are guys that can make some amazing shots at long distance. I am looking for what a well trained person with a rifle is expected to be able to do.
