    The bolt doesn’t always pick up the next round, like the mag sits too low. When it does grab a round, it tries to feed at too steep an angle; bullet nosed too high. I’m gonna play with it some more and see if I can correct it. Right now, I’m kind of regretting not getting the CTR Mag version...

    Of course it would. Any ideas on a torque wrench that would fit between the scope and tang screw? Wheeler Fat wrench won’t fit.

    Almost done. Not sure if I’m gonna like this Bravo. Haven’t shot it yet, but initial impression is that I like the original stock better. Maybe it’s just because I’m more used to a traditional stock. Any tips on how to set the cheek riser and LOP?

    Not at all, if you have a heat gun. Could be a bit more difficult to use a torch or clothes iron. My son had a heat gun that worked beautifully.

    Got the factory rail off today. It took about 5-7 minutes with a heat gun at 800 degrees. A little wiggling with some vise grips and it came right up. I’m not sure how to get the residue off. Gonna have to figure it out before the new Area 419 20 MOA rail shows up next week.

    Stupid question for my fellow Tikka owners... Is there that much difference, or advantage to using a 30 MOA rail vs a 20 MOA? Scope is Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 5-25X50, Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor 24" barrel. Use would be learning to shoot long range 1000-1200 yds ~

    Jumped on the bandwagon. Nothing special, just another stainless CTR in 6.5 Creed and a Vortex Viper PST Gen 2. Ordered some Seekins rings today.

    Best varmint bullet / cartridge

    I don't have experience with many varmint bullets outside of the 55 grain V-Max in .223. That said, they work terrifically on small vermin like jackrabbits & ground squirrels. I have a buddy that's knocked down coyotes with the same bullet.

    My Marlin likes the 17 grain V-max from Federal. Had issues with Winchester stuff, so I avoid that.
