    My New CZ 455 VPT

My gunsmith machined the stock bolt knob down to make the threads. He told me that it was REALLY hard material and he had a hard time doing it. It turned out great however.

    My New CZ 455 VPT

Drdeath the CZ's are fantastic. Extremely accurate , some say just as good as Anschutz, especially for the money. They have several models that start at about $350-$400. They seem more solidly built than the Rugers and i believe are more accurate. Try one you will like it.

    My New CZ 455 VPT

Got my rifle back from the smith. Fluorolon coated the entire action including bottom metal tan, added tactical bolt knob, threaded barrel, trigger job including DIP sear and yodave spring kit set to 1lb. I think it is pretty sweet. I will take it out tomorrow for some action.

    My New CZ 455 VPT

I wanted a trainer so for me the extra money was worth it. But if you go the Evo route you could always just buy the manners stock later I believe. You may even come upon a deal in the for sale section. The Evo is a beautiful rifle bro! The following is from the Evo page on the CZ site: The...

    My New CZ 455 VPT

Without a doubt! I too was a little hesitant but as soon as I put my hands on it I was sold. It is very well built. Of course once at the range the purchase was really justified. Man what a shooter! Do what you have to do to get one brother. You won't be sorry!

    My New CZ 455 VPT

Will do. I put a cheap BSA tactical on it because that is all I had but I am going to probably go with a vortex or a mueller. The BSA is actually not that bad it has some cool features but I want better glass.

    My New CZ 455 VPT

I sent it to Pitchford Custom Gun Works in Waller, TX. I have heard good things about his work and he is a very nice gentleman. Owns a 452 himself. New Page 1

    My New CZ 455 VPT

I hear ya EKIM1428. Mine just gave me the look. I just talked to the smith and he is going to coat barrel and action in tan for me with some Teflon stuff similar to cerakote. I am spending too much money on this thing! (What a surprise!)

    My New CZ 455 VPT

So I picked up the 455 VPT a couple of days ago from a local shop. My first impression of the thing was that it was very short overall, I knew the dimensions prior but it just looks small in person to me. Anyway, picked it up and wow, what a substantial feeling rifle. It feels solid and well...
