So I picked up the 455 VPT a couple of days ago from a local shop. My first impression of the thing was that it was very short overall, I knew the dimensions prior but it just looks small in person to me. Anyway, picked it up and wow, what a substantial feeling rifle. It feels solid and well built. The stock is fantastic in both fit and finish as expected. The trigger is has a nice crisp feel but is heavy for my tastes. I did not make any adjustment to it on this day. The action of the bolt is smooth and precise (should get better with break in I think). Open/close of the bolt is a little rough and heavy. Took it to the range a couple of days later and my purchase was justified immediately. This thing is a tac driver. The pic of the target is at 50 yards with an 8-9 mph crosswind using RWS Match ammo. The group to the upper right is a 10 shot group. The bullseye group is a 5 shot group after scope adjustment. Sent it off already to install a tactical bolt knob and thread the barrel for a sparrow suppressor.
