After shooting a box of Winchester Supreme, I'm gonna load up the brass with H1000. Gonna start at 75 and go to 77, in 1/2 gr increments. This is going thru my Savage 110BA. Does 75 sound like a good starting point? And should I try a 77.5? AND, are 1/2 gr increments too big? Thanks.
Tried going thru stacks of posts for some advice on Nosler 155 CC. Which powder would be most recommended? IMR 4064 or 8208? Trying to get some loaded up for tomorrow.
I have a Pelican 1750 that is about 1 1/2" too short for my Savage 110 BA 300WM. I need about 51" plus, inside. Any advise? I'd like a hard case if it's not crazy expensive.
I'm gonna try loading 178 BTHP's in some new Hornady Match brass. I've been using Lapua. Wanna start using some Hornady now, see how it compares. I have IMR4064 and 8208XBR to play with. Would the 4064 push the 178 better than the 8208? I thought somebody somewhere told me the 8208 was better...
I've got a few boxes of 178 BTHP blems from Midway. If I'm loading 41.9 of IMR4064 in Lapua brass for 178 AMAX, where should I start to load the 178 blems? Are these supposed to be the same as Hornady 178 BTHP?
I currently am running a RifleBasix SAV-1 trigger after my AccuTrigger went bad on me. (Liked it) Model 10 FCP .308. Looking for opinions on the SAV-2 vs Timney. Ready, go...
Ok, I have learned that 168's are a great common size bullet for .308's. I am getting started on my new 300 WM. Now I have to learn the favored bullet for this gun. Savage 110 BA, bolt gun. Gonna be shooting targets for now, out to 400-600 yds. Kinda in a small time "sniper training". Would I...
I thought I was on a roll loading my .308, but now my inquisitively detailed cabinet-making side is creeping in. I'm trying to bump the shoulder back .002 on my once fired Lapua brass. My Redding type S neck sizer with .337 does not seem to be doing this. Is this the task of the FL sizer? I...
I'll try to keep this short, but informative. I've used my Gempro 250 for a year with no problems. I've turned it on for at least 24 hrs before using. It usually was spot on after picking up powder cup and replacing it. Well, last time I used it, I left it plugged in. That was about 3 weeks ago...
I usually load Lapua for my .308 just using my Lee collet die. I'll admit, I like to tweak too much sometimes. Well, I bought a Redding Type S bushing neck sizer(71155). I also have an RCBS neck bushing die set(15506). AND I have another RCBS neck die. I just loaded some Hornady and Fed loads...
About to start loading for a new Win Mag. Can I get a run down on what brass is "best", and what I might buy last? I know Lapua is what I would use in my .308.
Guess what-I have a Savage 110BA coming to papa in 300WM! Been drooling for months. Now it's coming. So, what's a good powder to shoot? IMR7828SC? RL22? It's my understanding that 180 gr bullets are a good one to use in 300 WM? Kinda like 168's are the go-to for .308. I'd sure appreciate some...
