    FYI, Rainier just released their gen 2 RUC rifles in 16" and 18" with listed weights at 6 lbs 1.4 oz and 6 lbs. 8.2 oz respectively. Build components look pretty decent too so it should be possible to build something pretty light if these are anything to go by.

    Rifle Scopes $100 price range non-QD scope mount?

    Aero precision extended scope mount is very light, nicely made and under $100. Only negative is due to the one sided scope ring tightening, causes the scope to rotate as you tighten so you have to compensate for that. I'd still buy it despite knowing that now. Got it on my AR.

    Need help picking an AR15 Barrel

    No idea how they shoot but ice arms barrels are around $200 and are nitrocarburized which is more or less melonite but without the trademark. Website says the barrels are sourced from green mountain and appear to have various types in stock.
