In reference to the 4-16x42, how do they come up with the x42 since the diameter is 50 mm according to the spec sheet? Just curious since all of my camera filters are diameter specific to the outside of the lens.

Yes I have searched, I have found very little info. Are there any less expensive alternatives for the 4-16x42? I do not find any other company that seems to make one.

I see mention of the 4-16x42 with a klein reticle from time to time. Can anyone tell me if and when this was a standard order from S&B? Any chance it will be again? I imagine with the 3-20x50 due out some time in the near future there wont be any new changes to the 4-16x42.
