    Desert Tech MDR

I have the new gas port on order. I agree is should have been given to MDR owners to help elevate issues. But I guess 50% off is the best they can do. To get around removing the hand guard I just built a little wrench like for a sprinkler valve. Works great I can adjust port with hand guard...

I use this mount (no built in elevation) with a VORTEX RAZOR 5-20 on my SRS in .338 LM. Works fine, no zero shift. I ended up putting a 20 MOA badger rail section on to get a little more vertical adjustment in my glass.

    Breaking decap pins on .223...?

I had this issue with some 5.56 crimped brass. I used a universal decapping die and still had some issues due to small flash holes and crimps. So I started to use a "L.E. Wilson Decapping Punch", around $10. I can be a little time consuming but goes pretty quick once you get the hang of using...

Just wanted to give kudos to the guys at DTA. I had an issue with my Gen 1 .338 LM bolt. Gave DTA a call and had to leave a message. Josh returned my call within an hour. He was very helpful and offered to overnight me a new bolt. Since I kind of wanted to find out why it happened I asked if I...

    Ammo temp?

Not to get to far off the subject or get to technical but I note that some are having trouble with accurate Infra Red thermometer readings. There are several reasons for this. 1st - Some lower cost IR units are only accurate to within +/- 2% of there range. So the larger the range the greater...

    Sig 226 22LR conversion.

My main defensive pistol is a P226 platinum elite (has short reset trigger) with a SIG factory trigger job. I was looking for a .22 practice pistol and tried a mosquito, don't do it the trigger is terrible and SIG can't do anything for the mosquito's trigger. So I opted for a .22 conversion...
