IMO, the benefit of the TD is the handiness, and squirrel level accuracy. Few seem to be satisfied trying to get significantly better with repeatability due to the barrel mechanism. With that said, for a walk around gun and the interest of fun and reliable, I like the basic Volquartsen hammer...
