im confused....i just read the "handloading for long range 3, finding start OAL" and it says to ALWAYS start jammed into the rifling and work out...but many say start with a jump...can someone explain which is better and why??

So im starting from scratch and forgetting a lot of bad reloading habits i was taught before. My question now is, do i figure out what charge weight my gun likes first then decide my OAL or is this something you have to figure out togethor? Just seems like a lot of wasted ammo will be used...
Looking for some good information on how to properly do a work up load to find what my rifle likes, finally got some 6.5 .264 sierra matchkings on the way and dont want to waste my time doing something wrong, only took 5 months to get a box of 100!

That's the video I fallowed, he used jb weld and removed after 5 hours to clean holes, mine was not close to cured at 5. Hours and I used 50/50 mix. Will try again Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

just tried bedding my rail with bad results.....cleaned both surfaces, applied light coat of show wax to area...used jbweld for the compound. applied to rail and mounted it. tightened down the front screws and cleaned up excess jbweld. I waited about 5 hours and removed front screws and rail and...
