Suppressors Hanshon Brothers Comparative Testing Q Full Nelson & CGS Group Hyperion

My name is Todd Huey I am part of Silencer Shop Authority. I'm also a huge Q fan because they work very well. I have not tested the Hyperion so I have no input on it , but I do have access to every silencer in the Silencer Shop inventory and use most of them on a regular basis. Twice I have...

Night Vision Using helmet mounted PVS 14 with EOtech/aimpoint?

I prefer shooting with the pvs weapon mounted with a 3x magnifier behind the eotech, over shooting with a laser or a helmet especially for multiple moving targets. Shooting from the helmet just sucks. Shooting with a laser is ok and I will use it for one single target or when up close. Get...

    Night Vision Target of opportunity.

This coyote decided to run out while I was hog hunting, tried getting him to stop but had to take a running shot. COYOTE HUNT WITH SUPPRESSED LWRC SIX8 AND THERMAL - YouTube

Night Vision Lone boar gets double lunged with a 120 gr SST.

Found one lone boar out in some tall grass. I hit him a little back on the shoulder the 120gr sst penetrated completely through both shoulders and double lunged him. Per google Earth range to target was 80-90 yards As you will see in the video he ran about 20-30 yards before expiring. TEXAS...

Night Vision 305 pound boar taken after dove hunt with video.

The click no boom was me unloading the rifle to show off the new rifle just before the hunt. I put the mag back in and did not chamber a round DOH! In the winter I take the back straps from the sows! Pork wrapped in bacon!

Night Vision 305 pound boar taken after dove hunt with video.

Went west this weekend to do a little dove hunting and the birds were flying great! We all limited out on the doves fairly quickly every day. While I was sitting next to a pond I started looking at the various tracks and noticed some big hog tracks! So I decided to come back after dinner and see...

Yes it is normal but you can make it go away by adjusting the contrast knob.

Night Vision Shot through a small tree to take a 220 pound boar with the 6.8

It did not deflect enough for me to tell. Now the entrance wound was a little bigger than normal ;) but that was to be expected. Yes I should have killed the coyotes but I was hoping to see more hogs.

Night Vision Shot through a small tree to take a 220 pound boar with the 6.8

I took this boar with the Six8 razorback he was alone and working his way along a fence line rooting as he went. He was slightly angled towards me but facing away with a small tree covering part of his neck and head. While waiting for him to turn broadside the idea of shooting through the...

Night Vision Thermal performance weather conditions affect

I've seen this also it happened when we did the thermal review. Hot, humid, off and on rain then a cold front hit and temps dropped. My conclusion was the moisture retained heat better than the air around it creating a fog the thermal could detect.

    Night Vision Surefire X400v

Man I've been looking for something like this for my pistol wanting to do a .45acp hog hunt. Do you have pics of it on a pistol or carbine??? I'll give you a call for the price thanks!

Night Vision The pigs charged me!

In the summer they are so nasty I do not mess with them. During the winter I shoot so many I just take the backstraps or give the hogs away. But we do soak in ice water then drain and then repeat to get the blood out.

Night Vision What's the best recommended night vision scope for hogs?

The guys above are right about the cost factor. How do you plan on hunting hogs? Stationary from a blind? Moving on foot or in a vehicle? You may want to start with a pvs-14 and 3x magnifier behind a eotech. This way you can use the night vision to spot and stalk then move it to the weapon...

Night Vision The pigs charged me!

I use a pvs-14 and MTM thermal monocular to move and scout with, then a W1000 thermal scope to shoot with.

Night Vision The pigs charged me!

Well this was an extreme situation. The ac vent was aimed right at the back glass and I did not know it. But Yes an IR laser would have helped but I had not mounted one on this rifle yet.

    Night Vision Thermal target identification

Since more and more people are getting out and hunting with thermal these days I made this short video to show what different things look like at night. Sometimes even with the best systems things other than hogs look like hogs and it is imperative that you watch your target until positive...
