Working with load data and trying to understand why predictions are not close to actual.
I'm loading this as pictured but actual velocities are almost 200 fps faster than quickload.
62.5 gr H1000 3246 fps avg 16 ES 8 SD
What am I missing here?
Cartridge : 6.5 mm RSAUM
Bullet : .264, 123...
I did Chrono all loads from the start. Went from 2830 to 3179 at 66 gr. 64.5 grain loads averaged at around 3100, which is still below what I was getting with H1000.
Well I started at 58 gr 8133 worked up to 65.5 a half grain at a time no pressure signs at all, 66gr blew a primer...So I dropped back to 64.5 gr, first two no problem third blew another primer! All pockets were tight when seated...Accuracy was 1 hole at 130 yds with the 64.5 gr load...Any clues?
I just remove the hand crank and insert the shaft in my drill and tighten. Seems to work fine...So what is the need for an adapter? Am I missing something here?
