Suppressors New TBAC cans for 2024

I've shot the 338 Magnus-S-RR on a 338 lapua and was very comfortable with foam ear plugs. That's not something I would want to shoot without foam ear plugs in. I also wear ear pro 100% of the time no matter what I'm shooting. The recoil reduction of the Magnus-S-RR on 338 lapua put a smile on...

Suppressor manufacturers that clean their customer’s cans?

We did play with a peristaltic pump on a couple of our endurance cans that we intentionally let fill with carbon. That did make a difference on cans that were 6oz+ over but it still took a couple weeks to get them clean. The peristaltic pump just increased the amount that we got out per cleaning...

Suppressor manufacturers that clean their customer’s cans?

Sorry, the 1000-1500 rounds of 6 creedmoor gets me to 1 oz of carbon

Suppressor manufacturers that clean their customer’s cans?

3 oz is where cleaning gets more difficult because those initial layers are more difficult to get out. The 1oz suggestion is more recent and what I do with my personal cans. At 1 oz it only takes a cycle or two of CLR. 3 oz can take 10-15 cycles or more so it's less work if you clean at 1 oz...

Suppressor manufacturers that clean their customer’s cans?

We don't recommend CLR for any stainless components. Any of our Ti cans are good to go with CLR, including your Ultra 9

Suppressor manufacturers that clean their customer’s cans?

We recommend cleaning your suppressor when you reach 1 oz of carbon build up. If you allow too much buildup those initial layers see enough heat and pressure cycles that they become extremely dense, making them more difficult to clean out. 1 oz of carbon can usually be cleaned out in 2 or 3 CLR...

Best Custom In Ear Electronic Hearing Protection

I had multiple people suggest sound gear to me when I was in the same situation. They have a dealer page (https://soundgear.com/apps/store-locator). My local audiologist is a dealer. I made an appointment and they did the initial hearing loss test to establish a baseline and did a mold of my...

    Suppressors first round pop

I would be very surprised if a faster burning powder reduced FRP. Even if you reach 100% burn there are still by products from the powder than can ignite. The only way to control FRP is to have a suppressor that is designed to not have it. Pistol and subsonic cartridges may be more prone to FRP...

    Day Pack Recommendations?

I use a Mystery Ranch Sawtooth 45. Really like the guide lite frame, allows you to bring a quarter or more out with the first trip. Then drop all your stuff and act like a packframe for the rest. I added the beartooth bag last year for a mountain goat hunt and was able to do a week out of it...

Suppressors Help me pick a tbac

Yes, I run shorter barrels on my hunting rifles. My 7 mag is 22". Everyone, including myselft at times counts ounces way to much. The Magnus CB weighs 14.8oz, the Dominus CB weighs 9.6oz. IMHO those 5 oz are worth it just because of the reduced recoil. Being able to spot impact on the animal is...

Suppressors Help me pick a tbac

I've always ran a Dominus or Ultra 7 on my 7 rem mag. After developing/shooting the Magnus I doubt I'll every put anything but that on my 7 mag. Sound suppression is one thing, the recoil mitigation of the Magnus is phenominal on my 7 mag.

    Suppressors Ultra 5 question

Titanium is a lot tougher than people think. It does surprisingly well with abraision. The surge cycles actually show how tough titanium can be if the suppressor is designed properly. In 10 cycles of the surge where we destroy 2 muzzle brakes the suppressor itself has enough erosion to be 3 dB...

Thinking about switching to a progressive…

Time was the biggest push for me to set up a progressive. Now my total time investment for 200 rounds of rilfe ammo is 1 hour. Plus it's pretty damn satisfying to watch a completed round drop every lever pull. The last load development on my 7 mag had an ES of 4 on a 5 shot random sample from...
