This is similar to another topic that is active right now but I didn't want to step on it. Is the cost difference worth it? Example: I just happen to be looking at picking up a Leupold Mk4 6.5-20x50 M1. This scope is going for $1250.00. The front...
A long story short is that I had "misplaced" the reset spring in my Rifle Basix trigger that is in one of my Remington 700's. I had the trigger out in order to have the barreled action refinished. I spoke with Clay at Rifle Basix Monday afternoon and I received another spring today (Wednesday)...
My Remington 700 SA is off getting refinished and I'm trying to get some parts ordered before it comes back. The scope that I will be mounting is a Leupold Mark 4, 30mm tube, 3 1/2-10 x 40mm objective. The rifle has a standard Remington varmint weight barrel on it. I'm in the process of...
Re: 5R on its way I have to agree with what others have said. Put off the custom touches for now. The 5R is simply a great shooter straight out of the box. I bought one 5 or 6 years ago. Get the trigger where you like it and invest your money in a good scope. All of the other things are great...

I have a H-S Precision PSV74 stock that has the dual palm swells. I've never been able to warm up to the dual swells and would like to grind/sand flat the swell on the off side. Anyone done this that can offer advice to the removal and then the needed repair? Thanks, Jim
I've done some internet searching for this info and can't find anything beyond "varmint contour". Rifle is the Remington 5R in .308 with the 24 inch barrel. Reason I'm asking is I'm thinking of purchasing a wood stock for this rifle and that is one of the spec's that I need to know. It seems...

Here's the deal. On one my Remington 700's I have a Badger Ord. one piece 0 cant base with the Badger Ord. standard .823 rings. My scope is a Leupold Mark 4, 3 1/2-10 x 40. These rings are the lowest that B.O. makes. With this setup my scopes objective bell is at least 1/2 inch above the top of...
Re: cerakote color question I agree with KevinB, have a shop do it for you. I just sent a stainless barreled action to GAP yesterday to be cerakoted. I thing any of the standard colors would look good, matte black, desert tan or OD.

Re: Which others should I consider? I've spent the entire evening reading up on the POF P308. I'm impressed. The model that I like is the 20 inch barrel with the fixed buttstock for my scope useage. I do believe that the M1A has slipped to number two on the list.

Hi guys,I've been away from the forum for awhile (doing more shooting then typing). I'm looking into purchasing a semi-auto for scope use in 7.62x51. A little background, I currently have a GAP .308 bolt gun that is a laser beam shooter and two SA M1A's, a Socom 16 and a Scout/Squad, both of...
Re: Butler Creek caps for Swarvo Laser Guide? Many thanks Aries64, I will pass this info on. As I mentioned I have been very pleased with the use of these caps on my Laser Guide. In my view the plastic holster that is supplied is useless.
Re: Butler Creek caps for Swarvo Laser Guide? The one that I remember was done as an article I believe on one of the various sniper forums. I just can't remember which one and have been unable to find it. Can you remember what size caps?
