My 10-22 is not ejecting unless I rem oil the chamber everytime I shoot it.I have taken it apart and everything looks okay.I thought the extractor hook might be wore out,but it looks great.{But I am not a gunsmith}I keep it clean and only shoot CCI mini mags.It has never liked the bulk shells.Is there something I am missing,or is it just wore out?It has had no telling how many rounds through it.Any help will help.Thanks

Not ejecting or not extracting from the chamber?
If the extractor is not pulling it from the chamber I would scrub the chamber with an oversized nylon or copper brush and a good powder solvent.
Look at the extractor with a magnifying glass. A small chip at the edge will make a big difference.
Might want to order a Titanium extractor from Power Custom, they work well and I've never had a problem with the 2 I have on 10/22's.
The ejector is actually part of the magazine, the little sharp corner sticking up about 3/4 of the way back on the top of the mag.
There is a secondary ejector that is sticking out of the trigger housing, if that make sense.

Look under the extractor, sometimes a piece of crud gets between the extractor and the bolt body preventing the extractor from gripping the case properly.
Another problem you might be having is the CCI ammo, I seem to recall reading somewhere the Mini-Mag case was slightly longer than a standard .22lr case. Try using some other ammo and see if the problem persists.

Lumpy,the gun cant get much cleaner.168, this gun has never shot cheap shells.What is better than CCI? Thanks.

Look at getting a Volquartsen extractor with the OEM Ruger spring should cure it.
Did for my Volquartsen bbl'd 10/22.
FWIW: Polish the hammer face and where it rubs on the bolt.
Mine will feed and fire just about any dang ammo.

had the same problem with my 40th anniversary 10/22 replaced the extractor with a Volquartsen edm claw extractor 5000 rounds later i have had 0 problems since

Being this is a blow-back design the extractor is there more for unfired round extraction than needed for fired brass removal. I have run 10/22's without the extractors just to see how well they would feed/function. Of course when I was done fartin' around I re-installed the extractor (whether it was the stock one or Volq.).
CCI's have run in everything I've owned but they ARE tight in my CZ chambers. They would be less forgiving if a chamber had some built up crud or was slightly out of round.
I know a guy who had this problem on a TacSol barrel and ran a chamber iron through it. It took care of the problem.
If this is a new barrel I believe I would be looking at returning it. Life's too short...........

The barrel is a butler creek.I have not had any problems until recently.I have had the whole setup for 6 or 7 years.I bought everything new.I will try a new exractor,and see if that fixes

Sound like an extractor issue.
Have you tried ammo with a diff lot # . Something to check.
I've shot a pile of minimags with no troubles.
