A coworker of mine knows I like rifles, and I hardly ever shoot pistols. He's got a plastic stocked 10 year old Savage model 10 non accutrigger that I offered to trade a pistol for. He said there are no other model numbers....it is simply just a " Model 10". Of course he says " it's heavy as hell and the barrel is way too thick for any practical hunting. He says the bolt says "Tactical" on it. Is there anything I should know about these 10+ yr old model 10's? Oh, it's a .308.

I've got an older 110FP .308 that I picked up recently. Flat back, staggard feed, "Tactical" bolt, non accutrigger but totally adjustable. Heavy varmint contour, 24" 1:10 tw. Oh and of course, cheaper than cheap Savage tupperware stock. That aside its a nice shooter for what I paid for it. Essentially the same thing as the 10FP, just in long action. I like 'em.
