Hunting & Fishing 1111 yard shot video

This is my first video. I still have a LOT to learn on the editing side but I threw this together last night to get some feelers out there. The shot almost got ugly. She turned 90 deg. as soon as the shot broke and only due to the fact that it was on the money was she recovered. The 284 doesn't hit hard at all at that distance but she was recovered and put in the freezer.
Let me know what you guys think.

The bullet came in the front edge of the left shoulder and busted her lungs. The damage wasn't immense but it did the job. Once she got in the bushes she didn't go very far. Probably 100 yards roughly. Found her snoozing in the shade.

I know video's are deceiving, but it doesn't look like 1100 yds. It looks like the deer turns right as/after you broke the shot, how did you hit her good with the ass toward you?

Very cool video!

It does look much closer than 1000yds before the shot, but the time of flight is good for a grand, and also the bullet trace can be seen at the corect hight for such a distance.

Outstanding...

She turns to the right. Raise the res. and blow the screen up and you'll see. Her head turns just over 90 deg. to the her right.
The road is deceiving. Mainly because it's straight and flat with very little to reference in between. I have video from the top of the hill filming back and its 1822. The problem is you can barely make anything out. Most video makes it look way further than the human eye perceives it to be. This one doesn't.

If your going to continue to make hunting related videos and shooting at farther distances like that I would looks into maybe some more magnification on your camera. Was hard to see the deer at all.

Video editing is easy just use the star swipe. Well that is what Homer Simpson would use.

That's on 20x. If you want to help us raise the cash for the $50k 40x and the camera to run it I'll spring for it. Otherwise we are just having a good time. If you blow it up in high def I doubt you'll have and issues.

I tend to shoot them from 6-30 yards with a bow. But a very nice shot.

I do a little string action myself from time to time and actually prefer that to any experience. However fat boyz gotta eat and this puts more meat on the table.

I have to say, that's the most telling example of trace I have ever seen (but then again, I haven't seen many examples). Good shot, good editing, and nice soundtrack. Almost put me to sleep!
