123 amax?

i have a 260 with a shelin 26 inch 1-8 twist barrel. right now im using 140 amaxes but im curious about the 123 amax. this rifle is a coyote rifle with a max range of 550ish.

im thinking with the 123 amax i might get better ballistics at the ranges i shoot that rifle at

Any gain in elevation is lost in wind drift.

Run the numbers through JBM and look at the wind effects.

For your application, I bet you don't see much of a difference.

Give the 123's a go and see how they perform for you.

thats kind of what i was thinking, but i dont trust the ballistic software. im not a real technical guy and never had much luck with them

I switched to the 123's from the 140's in a Creedmoor. The rigs purpose is ground hogs.
The ground hogs hate them.
Oh, they shoot great also. Not as good as the 140's for wind, but compared to a 175 gr 30 cal Matchking, it feels like cheating due to the low recoil.
