130 norma bc

What bc are you guys using with the 130 norma target bullet? I've saw .584, .548, .554 bc..... With the 130 next to a 140eldm, I have a hard time seeing how one is .645bc and the other is .548.

Apples to oranges: the two bullets are two different shapes, manufacturers, lengths, centers of gravity, center of mass. So, yes, they will have 2 different BC's. The 140 has a better BC than the 130. I use G7 BC and .289 works very well for me. With the 130 Golden Target, I think I have used G1 of .548 as well.

Thanks guys. I was thinking it we ould be a good bullet for shorter barrels, using .584bc(thanks midsouth website). But since its .548bc, and all I can get is 2750fps with it compared to 140eldm at 2680fps, I think I'll use the 130 in something else or sell them.

You can push the 130s to 2850-2950 with reloder 16 or H4350 without issue. That bullet does really well in that velocity range. I personally push my 130's to just past 2900 out of my 24" Proof barrel with Reloder 16 (42.8-43gr) 2.78 OAL.

What barrel length you using?

Hornady brass, cci 200, 44.3gr h4350, anything faster went to garbage or sticky bolt.

Damn. That's pretty awesome. You might be able to squeeze out some more velocity with Reloder 16. I might buy your 130's depending on price.

They were 3 rd groups, but it definitely had some potential. I've got a 22" 6.5prc barrel that the 130s would work in, but it will be awhile before I get to it.

I use the Norma 130 in my 260 Rem. 24” barrel and mild load if H4350 at ab 2935fps. Excellent accuracy and very consistent. Also, Im using G1 of .587
