Does anybody know if the .264" 140 noslers have to seat deeper than say SMK's or Hornady ELD's? I have a .260 with a fresh match chamber but they are hitting the lands at 2.70" O.A.L.. Trying to figure out whats going on......

yeah, i'm not happy with it... Ill just have to have my smith (Me) fix it... I used a match reamer from elk ridge. I wonder if I should just get a standard .260 reamer and try to lengthen the throat or try to use a throating reamer?

I should have said that in my guns they seem to hit the lands .020-.030 sooner than 140 amax, eld, etc. Mine are creedmoor but it think that differential would mostly hold true in a 260, 6.5 saum, etc.

I don't have my notes in front of me for exact numbers.

Issue I’ve seen repeatedly with Nosler, notably with ‘seconds’, is variations in base to ogive measurements. Have an accurate load for a Bartlein 6.5 CM-41.5 H4350, but an old lot are .692 BTO and OAL is 2.795 at .020 off lands, another lot load at 2.82 to stay .020 off. All said, pretty decent potential for lot/lot variation, though they shoot well-under .75 5 shot groups, when properly sorted. Have found same with 123CC and 129 ABLR seconds. Prime is good to go, but would advise buying a bunch in same lot number if they shoot in your gun. Cheap-yes, but time is money as well if you need to sort.
