I'm at less than 100 feet ASL level and am launching the 155 Scenar slower than that through a 1-12" barrel.
Was shooting 1,000 yards a few weeks ago in 65* weather and my rounds were covering the distance with plenty of steam to spare at the end.

No problem, shoot a 1000 yds match every month 155L 2950 fps never have gone sub sonic.

I shoot at 400'. I haven't had any stability problems with the 155 Scenar at 2900fps out of a 1:12 factory remington barrel.

yes they will work, we shoot at quantico and sometime in the real cold weather the density altitude will be -1000ft or greater.
i've shot the 155s with great success there on the 1K yard line.
