17-222 advice

plannin on building a 17-222 and am looking for any advice anyone might have on them. Iv been reading alot on them and it sounds like a fun round to play with. What my intentions are is to build a scout rifle in that cal and use it on coyotes on the calm days. First question would be is how far of a shot on a coyote would it be capable of? Next would be load that have worked with your rig. Any additional knowledge would be appreciated
