I know we just had a 17 topic but I just got a new 17 and thought you might enjoy seeing it.

It was a 22 hornet till a friend of mine had a good smith cut the octagon barrel off at the fore end, bore it out and sleeve it with a 17 barrel. It looks like a factory half and half! Then he chambered it in 17 ackley hornet. I talked him out of it on thursday

those are some good looking fox, how does the ackley hornet shoot out to 300yds

What are red fox pelts going for these days?

I have only shot 11 rounds through it, the friend I got it from had 50 rounds loaded with his best load of re7 and a 18.6gr Hammitt. im going to start working up a 20gr V-max load next week.

The fox were shot at 200 yards.
