Bought a box of 100 bullets to build a load, ran out and ordered a box of 500.

Measured the ogive to the base of the bullets with a Hornady comp and the new box of 500 is .010 longer with a variance of about .003 in both the old and new.

Is this typical? Would that change my pressure levels?

sometimes as you hold your caliper the measurments change from the warmth of your hand. But typically I get the same results, a majority of the bullets are pretty close to the same length, weight, and diameter.

175 SMK wieghts range from 174.6-175.7, this is what i have found. But my main groups are at 174.8-175.3. I never really measure and get any outside those.

I am pretty sure that small variance will not change your point of impact. I had the same issue with 178 Hornady AMAX when they went to the AMP production but there was not change of impact so it was no big deal.
