178gr AMAX 300WM at 1000yds?

I bought a box of 178gr AMAX and they group like a bunch of hookers gettin paid by a pimp. I was curious if anyone has a range report on 600,800, and 1000yds with this ammo?

It gets there with no trouble out of my 26" 30-06 @ 2950fps. I'm sure you'll do just dandy with it. If you get ahold of some 210gr weight class bullets try them too, the 300 WM will shine bright using a heavy bullet like that.

I only use the 178s in my .308 but they shoot great to 1300. In a 300WM at 300fps faster I would bet they will be just fine at 1000.

That said you should try some 208s. Better BC and you can get them going 2900+ without much trouble from most rifles.

I plan beginning my reloading operation soon. As soon as I do, I think that the 208's will be the first ones I am going start with.
