I was at one of the local gun shops today, and noticed one of the workers was carrying a Full Size Springfield 1911. It was gorgeous!! What i noticed was strange though. The sights were exactly what i have on my Glock. White outline fixed rear, with a ramped white front sight. I asked him wbout the sites, and he said as far as he knew they were factory as the gun was used when he acquired it. Well, i have not found any picture of the same sights on a 1911. I have looked on many forum sites and searched through thousands upon thousands of pictures of all types of 1911(pity me, hahaha jk).
Here is a picture of the type of rear sight i am speaking of.
And a picture of the front sight.
These are images of the ones i am speaking. If anybody has any ideas on where the original owner got these sights for a 1911 please let me know. I did not look like the rear dovetail had been modified. The sight was just as thick as a dovetail, which is a lot thicker than a glock. Thanks in advance for any information!
