Ok you 1911 specalists my Kimber Raptor II is a blued model with the 5" barrel. The gun has about 1,2000 rounds through it and I just changed put a Wilson Combat spring kit in it about 6 months ago. The gun ran great after the spring kit was installed for about 500-600 rounds.
Now the last time I had it out I was having and issue with the re-charging the gun when I placed a full mag in the gun after the slide stayed open after the last round.
So to describe the semi-malfunction....
I have a full mag in the gun one in the pipe...
Empty the mag and the slide locks back in the proper position for the re-load..
I reload a new mag and me being left handed I can't pull back the slipe and let go to charge the next round..
The only way to put the next round in the chamber is to manually push the slide lock down to get the slide to chamber the first round from the new mag.
All of the Mags are the Wilson Combat 47D and I'm running store bought ammo ball target stuff if that matters....
Is their some spring that disengages the slide stop that could be in a bind of broken??
Please Help...
Thanks,
