With old eyes I am "looking" at putting a red dot sight on my 1911 S&W PC carry pistol. has anyone done this and if so where did you find a gun smith to mill the top and tap it for the mounting plate. I am in Wisconsin and cannot seem to find a smith to do this?

This works fine. Or any like it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L97361W?&tag=manngun-20

I got this years ago and has served me well. It was easy to install.
I've used it in several PRS matches where pistol stages were involved.

This was sold as a complete set mounts and red dot for a 1911 plus a
Picatinny mount.

Yep, old eyes. Have it milled in. You’ll love it! L&M did the work on mine. Best $200 I’ve recently spent.
