i have recently acquired a model MAS 1935A pistol in 7,65mm long... i have been trying to find ammunition for it but it's just impossible, here in France!! (yes i know.... kind of stupid for the country that made the gun )anyway, im am now looking to size down an existing cartridge but cannot find any that are suitable, can anyone suggest what cartridge i can use ??

I was able to find this that may be helpful: http://www.reloadersnest.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11076

It looks like the US .30 Carbine brass is a good place to start and RCBS makes a forming die set.

The MAS 35 pistols are beautiful and well-made pistols and it would be a shame not to shoot it. While the round is considered anemic by modern standards, I would not volunteer to be shot with one. A good jacketed hollowpoint for the 32 ACP ought to work well.

Keep us posted.

32 smith and wesson long cases can be used as well. The rim has to be turned down and an extractor groove cut. I don't know what kind of components you can get in france but you might check with Graf and Sons here in the US. They've had some new brass made which I've been considering for my MAS 38 submachinegun.
