I'm not totally new to suppressors but am new to 308/6.5 cans. I have an older OSS barrel over design that's pretty much dedicated to an AR15 I SBR'ed and cut down to 13.7". I also have a Rugged Obsidian 9 and an AAC Element II. I've had a Bergara HMR Pro 6.5 for a few years now and I'm feeling the urge to be able to suppress it. I have an interest in PRS matches but not sure I will ever compete. However, I've been active in 3-gun for well over 10 years.

I've done some initial research and seem to be drawn toward the TBAC 7. I'm really leaning toward the 6.5 version because it's about as quite as the 308 9" version. There does seem to be some controversy over direct thread and the CB brake. I also don't see a direct thread can on the Silencer Shop site. Do they all come as a CB and to get a direct thread you simply loc-tite the brake into the can? I like the idea of the break and the CB mount. I run a Miculek Brake on one of my AR's and a VG6 on another. I'd be OK with swapping one of those with a CB brake if the CB brake is pretty effective as a brake on 5.56.

I just wanted to do a little discussing with folks before I take the plung.
