There is a great variety of likely suspects from 123 to 142gr.
I have ; H1000, H4350, H4831. Varget available. A brand new 20" 8 tw. on the way.
Is there a specific formula bullet wise for success with the short barrel? Would like to use this as far as 1000 yds. at sea level on steel / paper.

140 hybrid over H4350. Start about 15-20 thou off the lands and it should be good through the whole life of the barrel.

Charge weight will depend on which brass you are using.

I have some Berger 140 VLD hunting and H4350 with shiny Lapua brass waiting for my CTR. Tick-tock just waiting...

I know I said 140 hybrids earlier, but I should have included these. Pat nailed it.

I ran 123 Amax's and 140BTHP's in my 20" 260 with H4350 with good results, but the 130's would have been an outstanding choice as well. 2800fps is doable with 4350 I would think, I had 140's over 2700 easily with a load that wasn't hard on the brass.

I've had good luck with 139 Lapua scenars, 140 Berger hybrids, and 140 Berger hunting VLD's all over H4350. All sub .375 MOA.

I ordered 142 SMK's. Lapua brass as my LR 223 has done well using it. H4350 should fit here and 110m Federal primers.
Load data I'll work up with some beginning guidance from the Depot.
I feel like the Flounder, "I hope I get" 2700. Would be really a great combo I think.
