2012 is in the books! We saw more deer this year than ever befor it seemed like everywhere you looked there was a shooter buck hanging out..sometimes right in the road! The elk on the other hand were far and few between. They were either sneeking over the fence right at sun up or running Mach 3 across the mountain. The other crappy part is the Bulls in this particular area just don't get very big, just a bunch of weasley rag horns up there.
Got a good shot on this old beat up fighter at 850 Yards and let him have in right in the front shoulder. The 210 Berger VLD did its job and put him right down.
Found this guy out feeding in a clearing with a bunch of does. Dialed up 590 yards and sent another Berger right to the heart..din't even take a step. The does just kept feeding away. He's alittle over 30"
