2014+ AXMC changes?

I thought I recalled there being differences starting with 2014 or was that only with the AXSA?

I'm looking at a 2014 AXMC (magnum version) is why I'm asking.

LFP vs SFP doesn't matter for the calibers I'll be using.

IIRC the big differences starting on the '14 AXMC were the buttstock & the quick change barrel feature... Pre '14 AX magnums required a barrel vise/action wrench to swap barrels

They really muddied up the waters calling everything an "AX" at first.

So the AX338 had the old buttstock design that the AW/AT has but when it went to the AXMC then it went to the PSR style buttstock and the Quic-Loc barrel system?

Yes those were the biggest differences... Going off memory here but I don't think the forends/handguards interchange between the AX338 & AXMC either. Been too long since I owned both to compare lol

Yes

The AXMC when introduced had the QC barrel feature. My AXMC was a 2013 model and had the same features as the models after it

The big change was in the short action version. The stock and QC feature being the biggest changes. Then to small firing pins in 2015

Accuracy International models explained
