208 eld m out of a .308

Found a potentially great load with 43.1 varget, Lapua brass, 208 eld m , fgm210 m out of a 28” hv Bartlein 1:11.25. Shooting 2615 FPS. Shot at 400 yards yesterday and was below 1/2 moa. Anybody else shooting these out of a .308 platform ?

I should also mention I’m single feeding as the bearing surface is WAY back on these particular bullets. My oal is 3.025” with the ogive at 2.265? I believe. So there is no overpressure.

That steel is not going to last long with that load.

I shot 208AMAX's, very similar experience to yours. Primarily used it for informal F-class shooting since i had to single feed.

Those are actually next on my list. I just finished up some Barnes 200 gr lrx with great results.
