Hi Guys, My FTR rifle throat cut long to shoot the berger 210g VLDs im currently all out of 210g vlds and need to know which of the following bullets 208g amax and 210g berger BT LR has longest overall cartridge Length when measurement is taken "FROM brass Case base to Tip of bullet" "WHEN" jammed to Lands, thanks.

I don't know, but if you don't already have those other bullets, Bullets.com has the 210 VLD's in stock. Bullets.com
i know the 208Amax is longer than the 210VLD in ojive to tip. my 208"s at the lands jump the 210vld with the same die setting
Does amax like to be jammed or jump?
I would think you would have to work up a load with the new bullet....I shoot the 208 A-Max out of my 300RUM and they seem to like just slightly touching. Best of luck.......
Hi rem 06, Have you also tried the 215g Berger Hybrids ifso what was oal in comparison to the 208g Amax, thanks for info.
I am using the 230OTM the 215Hybrid is longer than the 208Amax

Hi Rem 06, Im shooting FTR with my dolphin rifle in 308 which has a bartlin heavy palma 1 in 10 twist 32in barrel throated v long, Was trying to find out OAL measurements from case base to bullet tip for 215g Hybrid and 208g AMAX when both touching lands, seems my barrel throated so long that there is too much jump to shoot the 185g bergers and the 210g berger BT LR only has very small amount of shank area in case when 0.20 off the lands, hoping the 208 g AMAX and 215g hybrids bullet shank area will be longer in case neck when seated at or just off lands, seems i have opposite problem of having too long throat area, thanks.

208Amax -0.810
215Hybrid - 0.830
230Hybrid OTM -0.912
base to tip:
210- 1.471
208 - 1.534
215 - 1.599

Hi Rem 06, still waiting for 215g hybrids to arrive at local Fd in meantime gona Try the 208g Amax with Lapua palma brass 44.2g varget with BR-4 15 thou off Lands at 1000y this sunday regards, paul.
Recently Shot this load with the 208g Amax at 1000y and first 4 shots were holding sub 3 inch vertical with 5th shot opening up vert to 5 inches due to mirage and barrel heat as i took 10 shots before vertical 5 shot group, could have an excellent Load with further Load and seating depth tweaking.
