I recently shot some Sierra 210 MK's that absolutely rocked out of my 300 Win. But, the cost of that bullet is prohibitive when it comes to shooting 3-4 hours at a time. How difficult is it to get the 210 Bergers to shoot? I am not overly familiar with that bullet as I have always shot Sierras or Lapuas. Any direction or recommendations are appreciated.

I have used the 208 amax and bthp with good results out of my 300wm. about the cheapest, accurate bullet available at about 30-34 a box of 100. set to .030 off. Using H1000 about 2850 fps.

Yup look at the 208 AMAX. Excellent in my 300WM.

Wildboarem, Sierra's in general are not overly expensive except when you get to the 210 MK which is considered a L/R specialty bullet, then the price goes up substantially. even at the 500 round price the 210 Sierra is 20-25 bucks more. The 50 round boxes are 38 and up in some places. I reckon I'll look at the 208 AMAX.

I'm glad I shoot the 208 AMAX then, I had no idea Sierra was making target bullets out of unabtanium

I was shocked when I paid for my last box of 210 SMKs to try out too. Box of 100 175 SMKs are about $38. Box of 50 210 SMKs were $45. Box of 100 210 Berger VLDs are around $52. Think I'll try the VLDs next.

The 175 SMKs shoot about .350" out of my .300RUM @ 3320fps.
210 SMKs shoot about .500" @ 3150fps.
Hopefully the VLDs will be about 3100 or so.

Too bad, because I really like the SMKs, and the 210s hit like a freight train out at 1K yds.

Yep, I just can't see why they are so much higher than the Bergers. It is what it is, but my gun loves them. I shot them out to 850 and they were dead nuts on and easy to tune too.
