.22 AI conversions?

Hi all.

With High calibre rifle shooting and places to shoot becoming more and more harder to achieve and locate i may have to move to .22 calibre shooting as there are plenty of places for me to go outside and in, long and short range.

My main question is though, is there a conversion kit or a rifle from accuracy international that fires .22 rounds? id love at least the stock but the whole shabang would be even better.

How about finding a 40X .22 and drop into a AICS?
Pretty expensive, but it would work.

While technically it would be possible, I don't know of anyone who has produced such a kit. I would think accuracy would be marginal.

You best bet, as stated earlier would probably be a 40XB in an AICS.

Now that I have an AI, I am seriously considering an AICS for my 40XB.

I have been batting this idea around in my head for about a month(AICS and a 40XB), but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. There is a thread in the rimfire section of the forum that deals with this issue and the ins and outs of doing it. I'll see if I can find it and some other "useful" links for...

Ah! thats perfect cheers pal they look fantastic thats exactly what i need, i can live with a very good remington action anyway!

Right then now to find a UK stockist of 40x rifles, getting the AICS stock will be easy got plenty of UK distributors of that.

Rimfire 40X hasn't been around in about 40 years, so a stocking dealer may not be where to look...
For sale sections here or in your AO would be better.

There are a couple custom actions being made for the .22LR that would fit in an AICS, but I am not sure if there are any on your side of the pond or who would be able to export one to you.

This one's been bugging me for a while myself...it would definitely be awesome to be able to drop in a conversion into an AE or AW, but so far I'm not aware of any such thing. Those 10/22 stocks look pretty good though...
