I’m putting together a Boghorn tl3 switch barrel rig in 6.5x47 and 223 rem. On the 223 barrel I’ll be using the 223 issf reamer with a .169 freebore for 90gr bullets. I used this reamer in a 30” 1-7 twist FTR rifle with great success even at sea level and cooler temps. My question is: if I run a much shorter barrel (I was planning on 22”) on this new tl3, should I switch to a 1-6” to help keep stability up given the lower velocities? What are the potential down sides to doing to going with the 1-6” twist? Thanks for your help everyone!
